I listened to  'Lest We Forget' and loved it at first listen.
Tim Pepper (Vocals, Keyboards and Drum programming) sent me a brief story about the song and his band: "The ID"

"Hi Jorge,

Thank you for getting in touch. I'm glad you liked 'Lest We Forget' and we'd be really pleased for you to do a post.

I have to say 'Lest We Forget' is just the very first version of the song which I knocked up in a couple of hours last Saturday. I have a slightly extended version that I created but it is still very much a work in progress. Having said that, I have always been intrigued by the writing process of other groups but very few groups let the fans in on it if you know what I mean? I've always wanted to let anyone who's interested in listening in on the ID's warts-and-all writing process so this would be a great opportunity to do so.

The song 'Lest We Forget' will be the last track on an upcoming album called 'A Deserter's Tale' which will tell the life story of a young lad going off to war in WWI and being caught and punished for 'desertion'. We have the title track and 'Lest We Forget' underway so far.

A little bit of background about the ID. We've actually never met. Never even spoken on the phone or skyped. We do all of our songwriting and chatting on Facebook, Outlook and Dropbox. We all met on a collaboration website called Kompoz and realised we all liked the same sort of music. Peter Albrektsen (guitars, keyboards, drum programming) lives in Toronto, Bill Sjulin (bass, guitars, keyboards, vocals, mixing, production) lives in Cincinnati. Mark Murdock (drums, vocals) lives in Tokyo and myself, Tim Pepper (lead vocals, keyboards, drum programming) live in Snodland, England.

We released our first album, IDiocracy (available on iTunes) in February and we have loads more in the pipeline:-

Confluence 1 - A group solo album. What? how? I hear you ask lol. Well we've decided to be a bit different from other groups. We thought it would be interesting if we produced a two-sided affair. Side A will involve us choosing 4 of our solo songs each but still under the ID 'umbrella', shuffled together to allow listeners to get a feel for where our individual influences lie (hence the name 'Confluence' - a meeting of influences). Side B will contain a 20-minute group effort called Vespers End all about astronauts on a one-way mission to Mars. We thought we would do more Confluence albums in the future to keep our writing fresh. A number of these songs are near completion and you're welcome to have a listen and play some if you're interested.

The Masque - This will be a horror concept album about a plague spread by terrorists that causes hyper-intelligent zombies

Theories - Will be an album about the world's most famous conspiracy theories.

I have great dreams for the ID. I'd like to make it into more of an art movement. I've got my cousin, who is an author in her own right, providing some lyrics and story ideas for future projects. Two other cousins are heavily into photography and art and will hopefully supply material for future albums. Also Peter and I are into art and will supply material for future albums, Peter designed the covers for IDiocracy and Confluence 1.

The other thing I'd like to do with the ID is help people less fortunate. I'd love to take under- privileged kids or the homeless or disabled into a studio and get them to make music (hey we might get lucky and find a budding superstar!) or even just some noise, just to give them some fun and a break from the tedium of their lives. Then, using the samples created, the ID would write an album and release it for charity to help out the very people who are on the record. I do hope this comes to fruition.

All the best.

Tim."
